Okay folks, this is sister Tree with an update. Bella is out of surgery. It was just over 3 hours. We just had the post surgery consult. Surgeon says he is fairly confident that he.... GOT 100%!!!!!! Wahoo!!!! Yippy!!! Hooray!!!! =) =) =) because the tumor was so large, it took a long time and was a tough surgery. There was a spinal fluid (CSF) leak during surgery... They 'plugged' it with small pieces of her bone (from her nose) and fat from her belly. They say she will have a wicked headache for a couple days from it. She will also be staying in hospital longer. We are not yet sure how much longer, but they said longer. She is not yet awake so we have to wait a few more hours to see her. The surgeon says that the tumor has been there for 8-10 years, judging by size.
I'll post again after we see her.
OK, so I've been strong and I haven't cried... much.. Well, not anything that Bella saw at least. Since it's over, can I let go and cry now?
