They've pulled out the drain, I'm not really tethered to any longer, and I'm so ready to be home with my dogs, sleep uninterrupted, in a less hectic environment. Tomorrow will be Day 10 in hospital, my longest stay, and although they have treated me well, you can't stay forever!
And I have lost all the taste in my taste buds. Everything tastes like cardboard.
Unfortunately today, my nose started leaking, but even if it's just a little, it's a huge deal. I can't tell if its a CSF leak or a runny nose, but it has me very concerned. The resident ordered no food after midnight and didn't tell me or the nurse, so the nurse thinks he signed me up for a procedure..we are waiting for him to talk to us yet.
I email Dr Erin about the leak, I'll see what she says shortly. I just want this hole to seal now.
Please seal nose... please!
Hope its just a runny nose Bella...and don't worry about your tastebuds. It took me a couple of months before I could smell anything or taste anything. Guess its just another one of those "side effects"!
ReplyDeleteKeeping you in my prayers all the way from Red Hook, New York!
Sorry for late response. Couldn't reply before guess there was a big! Taste buds almost better, but still feels like I burned my tongue! Things still taste a bit funky. Maybe eventually......!
DeleteSame thing happened to me! My drainage ended up just being gunk and not CSF. I was also in hospital for just under 2 weeks. Praying yours is gunk too
ReplyDeleteSadly not think, not then. But I'm stuffed up now, and it's all drain down the back of my throat!
